The Mansfield Knights practice twice a week at DBU's Horner Field in the fall. Additional practices are held at Euless Texas Star and the Mansfield Sports Complex. See the calendar for details.

The Mansfield Knights are focused on creating a competitive and enjoyable program with a strong emphasis on Christian values, excellence, and family. Our goal is to guide our players to develop their skills, character, work ethic, respect for others, appreciation for the game, and some important life lessons through our baseball program.
As such, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of character and sportsmanship. All families, players, and coaches associated with the organization are expected to adhere to these standards and demonstrate the utmost respect for one another. It is our hope that such a commitment will result in a successful, positive experience for all involved. It is important to remember that participation with the Mansfield Knights is a privilege, not a right.
Show respect to the coaches by supporting their decisions regarding all items of the team including, but not limited to, policies, scheduling, playing time, positions played and batting order.
If you do not agree with a coaching decision, utilize the 24-hour-rule by not initiating a conversation with the coach until 24 hours have passed and everyone has had a chance to clear their minds.
Work hard and try to get better each time you touch a bat, ball or glove and step on the field.
Ask questions when you do not know or understand something.
Be on time for all baseball related activities and communicate with coaches if there is an issue. Accept your role on the team, if you do not like your role, work to improve and change it.
If a player has an issue with a coach, the player should be the first one to respectfully address the issue with the coach in an appropriate time and location.
You are responsible for your words and actions.
Show respect to other players on the team by supporting them on and off the field, in words and in action.
Show respect to the umpires and others holding official capacity at the game through the choice of physical and verbal actions.
Show respect towards our opponents, their coaches and their spectators through the choice of physical and verbal actions.
Support a family atmosphere at all team functions, including training, practices, games and social gatherings through the choice of physical and verbal actions.
Help as a volunteer where possible. The success of this team is run on the contributions of volunteers and we need everyone to help.
Parents: Cheer for our team. Resist the temptation to argue with umpires. Resist coaching from the sidelines. Even with the best intentions, coaching from the sidelines can be confusing and distracting. Resist the temptation to engage in side banter with the opponent’s players, coaches, or fans.
Parents: remain in areas designated for spectators while the team is warming up, practicing, playing, or meeting as a team unless your presence in the dugout or other player area is requested by a coach.
Respect the challenges the coaches face and time commitment they make. Most of our coaches are volunteers. It's a significant amount of time, money, and energy, often with the side effect of stress.
Make sure that each dugout, ballpark tournament site and situation are left in better shape than we found them.
Pay your fees: everyone must pay their fee in full and on time. Fees are non-refundable, irrespective of whether a player chooses to leave the team or is dismissed for disciplinary or other reasons.
